Happiest of happy days today when I opened the door to my flat and found this little pile of mail:
Because look at the orange one...guess what it is!!!! A fabulous Halloween card from Julie--my good friend/former roommate/colleague at AMHS!

I was particularly excited about this orange envelope because it was thick! What could be inside??!!

I haven't received much mail here in London because it's a bit tricky and takes a long time, so this card with her sweet words of encouragement was such a welcomed surprise! And I am especially excited about the flavored Tootsie Rolls and Starbursts, as I haven't found either of those sweets here in England. Any kind of treat from America always does my homesick soul a bit of good, and I swear those candies taste sweeter than I ever remember. Today, I'm feeling quite blessed to have good friends like Julie who assure me I am loved and missed and that all shall be well.
